The Indian Health Camp of New Jersey, in partnership with Shree Swaminarayan Temple, Secaucus, held its 16th Health Screening and Prevention Camp. The health camp was targeted towards New Jersey residents, aged 40 and above, who do not have health insurance.

Volunteer health care professionals, including doctors and nurses, from across New Jersey and Secaucus Temple, gathered in Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Community Hall, on a Sunday morning, to give back to their community by providing quality health care to underprivileged patients. Secaucus Mayor Michael Gonnelli joined and commended the efforts.

Over 150 patients were provided thorough full body health checkups including comprehensive blood tests, EKGs, eye and dental checkups, cholesterol and diabetes screening, mental health services, physical therapy, flu shots, and colorectal cancer screening tests. A large majority of our patient population are female, therefore special OBGYN counseling, mammogram appointments, and additional female cancer screening was provided in house. After obtaining these tests, physicians sat and reviewed the results with each patient and provided detailed counseling.

The Indian Health Camp of New Jersey has partnered with Secaucus Temple of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan to provide comprehensive healthcare to thousands of under privileged patients all across New Jersey.
