Cultural Program Patotsav

On Friday, August 5th, 2022, Shree Swaminarayan Temple New Jersey held a cultural program. The cultural program began with young disciples singing kirtans for Acharya Swamiji Maharaj. Also, as part of the cultural program, a couple of disciples led a kahoot game of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Trivia throughout the event. At the end of the event, the person with the highest point total would eventually win a prize. In between kahoot questions, young disciples performed skits to re-enact episodes from Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Granth.

On Sunday, August 7th, 2022, Shree Swaminarayan Temple celebrated it 21st Patotsav in the presence of Acharya Swamiji Maharaj. The ceremonies began as Acharya Swamiji Maharaj performed poojan of Lord Shree Swaminarayan, Jeevanpran Shree Abji Bapashree, and Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa. Acharya Swamiji Maharaj then performed aarti of the grand annakut offered to Lord Shree Swaminarayan. Following the annakut aarti, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj performed aarti to the new Shree Swaminarayan Gadi flags which were changed with the help of the Secaucus Town Fire Department to reach the top of the sikhar. Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band USA saluted honorary guests outside of the temple after the flags were changed. As the ceremonies concluded in the Temple, Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band USA escorted Acharya Swamiji Maharaj and guests to the hall to continue the Patotsav celebrations. Honorary guests such as Congressman Bill Pascrell and Secaucus Mayor Michael Gonnelli addressed the congregation. After the guest speeches, disciples offered chaabs to Acharya Swamiji Maharaj and performed aarti. The event then concluded as Acharya Swamiji Maharaj offered ashirwad to all disciples in attendance. After the event, all disciples were provided prasad.
