On Sunday, August 19th, Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band USA marched in the 38th annual India Day Parade in New York City to celebrate India's 72nd Independence Day. Prior to the start of the parade, the band drew a large crowd. Viewers and media gathered to watch the band's warm-up routine, as the sound of pipes and drums echoed through the streets. Shortly after, the band kicked off the parade by saluting honorable guests and playing alongside the New York City Police Department (NYPD) Marching Band. Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band proudly led the parade down Madison Ave with thousands of people in attendance. At the grandstand, the band saluted the Indian flag with the Indian national anthem, Tiranga. Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band USA has been honored to play at the India Independence Day Parade in NYC for over a decade now and would like to thank the FIA committee for the opportunity to honor Mother India.
