On the very auspicious day of Chaitrasud 9, samvat 1837, the supreme Lord Swaminarayan manifested on this earth in human form as the second son of Dharmadev and Bhaktimata, and was named 'Ghanshyam'. In Akshardham, no one was blessed with the Lords darshan except His 'Muktas', but at the time of his birth in Chhapaiya at 10.00pm, all the deities and other 'muktas' were granted his Divine darshan. They offered their adoration towards The Lord by showering flowers and a pleasant aroma of sandalwood filled the atmosphere.
The pragatya of Lord Swaminarayan marked 232 years on this Hari Jayanti. All devotees gathered on Saturday 20th April to mark the beginning of the celebrations by performing a continuous dhoon for 1 hour. Thereafter, everyone was attentive during Muktajeevan Swamibapa's divine blessings. A pragatya uttsav was held and all devotees were merry and hailing the Lord. A Prasad of panchajiri was distributed to all.
