On Sunday, August 21st, Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band U.S.A. marched in the annual India Independence Day Parade in New York City. Prior to the start of the parade, the band drew a large crowd. Viewers and media gathered to watch the band's warm up routine as the sound of pipes and drums echoed through the streets. Shortly after, the band kicked off the parade by saluting Grand Marshall Abhishek Bachchan playing alongside the New York City Police Department (NYPD) Marching Band. Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band proudly lead the parade down Madison Ave with 200,000 people watching. At the grandstand, the band saluted the Indian flag with the Indian national anthem. Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band U.S.A. has been honored to play at the India Independence Day Parade in NYC for 10 years running and would like to thank the FIA committee for the opportunity.
