81st Pragatya Sadbhav Parva - Nairobi

Sunday, 28th May 2023 marked 81 years since our Beloved Prem Murti Acharya Swamishree Maharaj manifested on this Earth. In honour of this divine auspicious day, devotees of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, Shree Swaminarayan Siddhant Sajivan Mandal – Nairobi, celebrated this day with lots of enthusiasm.

The day’s activities commenced from 8:00am where a blood donation drive and eye and dental medical camp in collaboration with M.P Shah Hospital was held at H.H Swamibapa Hall on this auspicious day. Prem Murti Acharya Swamishree Maharaj states that, “To help and aid each other is our primary duty as human beings. In this duty, the giving of blood is far more precious and superior than the giving of alms. Your blood donation can be the difference when the life of a fellow human being hangs in the balance. Such acts of kindness are part of the tradition of the ascetic heirs of Lord Shree Swaminarayan.” A total of 131 pints of blood were donated during this occasion.

Later in the evening devotees gathered in the temple hall to celebrate the 81^st Pragatya Jayanti of Prem Murti Acharya Swamishree Maharaj. Activities commenced from 5:00pm with a Swagat Yatra from H.H Swamibapa Hall. Prem Murti Acharya Swamishree Maharaj adorned in  a fresh flower garland was welcomed to the palanquin after which devotees led the Swagat Yatra escorting Prem Murti Bapa towards the temple hall where Prem Murti Bapa’s Palanquin was gracefully placed. Young devotees then performed dances to please Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa, Prem Murti Bapa and Gnan Mahodadhi Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj, afterwhich the sponsors of the event performed poojan to Prem Murti Bapa followed by a Samuh Aarti.

Kirtan Bhakti was held by devotees, where they sang soulful kirtans in remembrance of Prem Murti Bapa. After the Kirtan Bhakti, temple poojari performed the cake cutting ceremony and offered cake to Prem Murti Bapa in synchrony of the congregation’s ecstatic applauds and cheers. Next was a video darshan of Divine Ashirwad of our Prem Murti Bapa.

Finally Sandhya Aarti Niyams were performed followed by Mahaprasad.
