Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa explains the importance of Shree Sadgurudin, saying it’s a day to reminisce and contemplate on the Divine Murti of Lord Shree Swaminarayan. Contemplating on the Lord’s Murti has always been dear to Jeevanpran Shree Abjibapa and our entire Divine Lineage.
To be able to contemplate on the Lord’s Murti, spiritual and divine knowledge is essential; therefore Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa initiated the celebration of Shree Sadgurudin to enable disciples to progress in their life towards contemplating on the Lord’s Murti with having the knowledge and intellect to do so. It is a day for an individual to determine how much he/she has grown spiritually and how much love and affection one has grown towards the Lord. To walk on the spiritual path one has to gain interest towards spiritual knowledge and contemplating on the Lord’s Murti.
Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa by being around villages, towns, cities and countries teaching and explaining the greatness of the Lord and His Muktas, has gotten disciples contemplating on the Lord’s Murti. He commenced the monthly celebration of Shree Sadgurudin, on 27 th December 1943, Monday, Magshar Vad Amavasya (New moon). It has been 76 years since the commencement of celebrations of Shree Sadgurudin began. Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa has given disciples abundant food for both their soul and body such that disciples imbibe His divine words. Indolence during (Dhyaan) contemplating on the Lord’s Murti is a sign of growing distant from the Lord. Meditation is the paramount path on attaining the Lord’s Murti. It eradicates one’s melancholy and worldly thoughts. Having a disciplined regular practice on contemplating on the Lord’s Murti from childhood is beneficial in such that it gives one the strength and potency to face their troubles in the future life, and this strength in turn will give them more energy.
Whatever aspiration a person may have, even if thousands of obstacles try to deter him, he is not deterred. This is known as a true aspiration. One gets enthusiastic upon what he aspires and once aspiration is there, one sees no hunger, no weariness, and no thirst. No deed can be completed without having self-confidence and enthusiasm. Jeevanpran Shree Abjibapa says that one enjoys words and discourses of the Lord’s greatness but when it comes to contemplating on the Lord’s Murti, it becomes a difficult task. With enthusiasm one can master any activity whether its spiritual or financial/economical. With enthusiasm one can maintain an eternal might, and whatever the age of a person, they can accomplish even impossible tasks. Lord Shree Swaminarayan says that a disciple who is weak physically can still perform an impossible task by having enthusiasm. One can please the Lord by having enthusiastic thought of pleasing Him and one can perform any task and take any task to completion in their life with enthusiasm.
