Day 2 of Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band – Nairobi Diamond Jubilee celebrations kicked off with a swagatyatra where all the members of Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa PipeBand united and were dressed in the same attire (Ekta Uniform) with a multi-colored turban tied around their heads. Acharya SwamishreeMaharaj was escorted into the temple hall where a beautiful walkway was prepared by devotees.
Thereafter Poojan and Aartiwas performed to Acharya SwamishreeMaharaj by the band memebers during the conclusion of the scripture recitals. A candle was given to each and everyone in the congregation and a samoohaarti was performed too.
Everyone was blessed with AcharyaSwamishree’s divine blessings. Acharya Swamishree stated that, “whoever came into Lord Swaminarayans’ gaze during the procession, became worthy of salvation…” He further explained that, “we as humans aren’t capable of doing anything without the grace of the Lord, and due to His grace, each of us are able to excel in our various fields. Never should we become egoistic and think “I am something”, because if we do, we will become “nothing” and stray ourselves away from the Lord.”
After such divine blessings, devotees were served with delicious Maha Prasad.
Cultural Performances
Day 2 of the mahotsav, devotees took the nite to show case the various talents they have been blessed with. The nite kicked off with Sandhya Aarti Niyams, thereafter everyone gathered in H.H. Swamibapa Hall. The event commenced with a prarthana kirtan, “ Oh Shyam, Oh Shyam…” sung by devotees of Muktajeevan Swamibapa.
Thereafter devotees of Swaminarayan Gadi Parivaar from all over the world; London, Bolton, New Jersey, Maninagar and Nairobi showcased their talents through various dance performances.
A magnificent drum core fusion was presented by Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band members where the audience stood up to give them a standing ovation for such brilliant talent.
