Acharya Swamiji Maharaj Arrives in London from USA

Nruyta & Drama Night - London

Cultural Performances Night - 9th August 2023

On Wednesday 9th August Gnan Mahodadhi Acharya Swamiji Maharaj returned to London from His 49 day vicharan in North America and Canada where He travelled to satisfy the spiritual desires spreading core values of peace, harmony, unity, and devotion, while bringing joy to all. Despite days of rain and unseasonably poor weather in London during the previous few weeks, the summer sun was shining as Acharya Swamiji Maharaj arrived at Kingsbury Mandir at around 11.30am.

Later an evening of cultural performances was held as a special welcoming congregation.  By 7.30pm, hundreds of disciples had gathered in Purushottam Mahal waiting for Acharya Swamiji Maharaj to enter and commence the cultural programme. A special stage had been elevated with smoke erupting from traditional matla to make way for a truly magnificent entrance for Acharya Swamiji Maharaj.

Devotees of all ages pleased Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa, Ved Ratna Acharya Swamishree Maharaj and Acharya Swamiji Maharaj with spectacular dances and drama recreating the many memories of the Grand Opening of our Kingsbury Mandir celebrations in 2014. Memories being recreated ranged from the magnificent dance from the Shilanyas Ceremony in 2012 to Boris Johnson opening the Purushottam Mahal complex to the splendid "Kutchbury" Shakotsav in 2014.

It was a night full of laughter and evoked loving memories of our Beloved Ved Ratna Acharya Swamishree Maharaj; leaving the disciples earnestly waiting to commemorate the 10th Anniversary celebrations of our multi-award winning Mandir next year.

The evening sabha concluded with everyone receiving tasty crispy bhajiya, ice cream and cake in the complex courtyard.
