His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamiji Maharaj places great emphasis on the spiritual development and progression of our youth – inspiring the nurturing of their skills so that they may put them to use in devotion, thus binding disciples to the Lord through those talents.

Friday 12 August saw a special congregation held to celebrate young talent and devoutness.

For young boys in the congregation, joining Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band is a common dream. The dedication, discipline and devotion needed to join the Band is not to be underestimated, today was the first time in several years that the Band has taken in new members into its ranks, with the cohort graduating today having spent nearly three years to get to this stage. Not everyone who enters the cohort graduates – so today’s 19 new members truly merit their graduation. The new members of the Band had the opportunity to perform before Acharya Swamiji Maharaj, marking their new status and full members of Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band.

Today also marked the establishment of Swamibapa Choir, under the auspices of the hugely successful Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Academy of Performing Arts. The Choir comprises of the youngest boys and girls, dedicating themselves to learning kirtans and performing them in concerts to please Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa and Acharya Swamiji Maharaj. Many in the Choir will never have performed before such an audience until today, but with the encouragement of Acharya Swamiji Maharaj, they have been inspired to do so.

We pray to Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa, Ved Ratna Acharya Swamishree Maharaj and Acharya Swamiji Maharaj to continue to remain pleased with such dedicated young disciples and gracing them with the opportunity to please Them in this way. Through Their divine inspiration, may such activities continue to grow.
