The final Sabha at Shree Swaminarayan Temple Golders Green was also Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa’s Punyatithi – the commemoration of the anniversary if His departure from this Earth in 1979 CE. Acharya Swamishree Maharaj presided over the morning Sabha of Sunday 8th September, which was the final piece in the Farewell Golders Green celebrations that have been taking place since His arrival to the UK in mid-June.

The Sabha began with dhoon – chanting of the supreme 'Swaminarayan' mahamantra – followed by dhyaan – meditating on the Lord’d divine Murti. To honour Jeevanpran Swamibapa, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj and sants performed poojan to Their beloved Gurudev. A special commemorative video was shown, depicting the key milestones in Jeevanpran Swamibapa’s life; a synopsis of a remarkable lifetime of achievements that could easily fill volumes of scripture.

Acharya Swamishree Maharaj then showered His divine ashirwad on everyone. A video DVD of the Shilanyas Ceremony was inaugurated, which will serve as a timeless reminder of events that took place almost exactly a year ago, during which Acharya Swamishree Maharaj laid the foundations for Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury using gold bricks, and 375 disciples took part in an amazing devotional dance.

Everyone then had the privilege of performing aarti to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa on this auspicious occasion before Prasad lunch was had by all to conclude not only this sabha, but the Farewell Golders Green festival of events.
