At the Tower Shree Swamibapa Gadi Pipe Band, USA saluted Acharya Swamishree who was seated on ornately decorated golden chariot crafted by the sants of Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa. The Band then led the Swagat Yatra to Maninagar Mandir.

Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Gauravgatha scripture recital was concluded and the benefactors offered gifts to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa and Acharya Swamishree.

This sabha also saw the release of three booklets depicting short stories based on our guruparampara; ‘Premno Rotlo’, ‘Gadheda ni Gaay’ and  ‘Pahonchya na Parmana’

Chief Guest

The Guest of Honour for today was Mr. Shankarsingh Vaghela, the Minister for Textiles & Cloth. Other dignitaries included Mr. Kirtibhai Rana – Chairperson of M T M K Chamber. On behalf of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, Acharya Swamishree presented the Minister and Mr Rana with a prasanta paagh and garland.

Acharya Swamishree's Addresses the Guest

During his address to the sabha Mr Vaghela thanked Acharya Swamishree humbly for the paagh and shawl he was presented with. “The prasanta paagh is Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa with his hand upon my head and the shawl is his protection shield around me. I congratulate Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan for the work you have done in uplifting the lives of the people of Panchmahal. Money can never buy love, but the compassion shown by Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa and Acharya Swamishree has won the hearts of hundreds of thousands through the world. The Lord does not differentiate between the rich and poor and showers his love upon all of us, we also should all people with equal respect. “

Addressing the guests Acharya Swamishree blessed each one and encouraged the sabha to speak the truth and act as per you word. Ultimately the truth always prevails. Truth is an ocean of nector whilst untruth is an ocean of poison.

Acharya Swamishree's Divine Ashirwad

  • Yesterday, we all had the darshan of the Grand Procession of Peace and Unity held through the City of Ahmedabad. Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa gave His divine darshan to hundreds of thousands of people, who all became worthy of salvation. Many grand chariots and elaborate floats had been created – included an aeroplane that looked as though it had come to fly us to Akshardham! All this grandeur was the result of the immeasurable love that Jeevanpran Swamibapa’s sants have for Him. Such love can only be found at our Gurudev’s lotus feet.
  • Today sees the conclusion of the recital of the Shree Swaminarayan Gadi and Shree Swaminarayangadi Gaurav Gatha scriptures, and the commencement of the recital of the Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Leelamrut Sukh Sagar – first part. The sponsors of all the scripture recitals that are taking place during this Mahotsav have the same sentiments: that they are well-off solely because of the power of Jeevanpran Swamibapa, and they don’t want to hold anything back whilst serving Him during His centenary celebrations. The Lord is immensely pleased at seeing such sentiments.
  • Due to the technologies of the modern age, people and communities have become much closer together; as if the world has become a smaller place. People have become closer to one another, but have become further from spiritual knowledge. As a result, they have become blind to the fact that this human birth has been given to them solely in order to endeavour to attain salvation. In order to free us from this blindness, Jeevanpran Swamibapa has manifested on this Earth to instil us with courage, morality and spirituality.
  • Jeevanpran Swamibapa has taught us that by using the strength of the soul, one is able harness the power of God to defeat the strongest of enemies. In order to achieve such a status, one’s intellect must be exercised and built up in the same way the body is exercised in order to build it up. The intellect is strengthened by listening to the words of God and contemplating about His greatness.
  • To lead a good, moral life should be a person’s only aspiration. God becomes pleased with anyone who has such a pure heart, and shows His pleasure to that disciple. This can only be experienced at Shree Swaminarayan Gadi. Such pure devotion is the very definition of asceticism, and we should all aspire to follow this path in the same manner as the protagonists of the great scriptures, i.e. Dhruv, Prahlad, Hanuman, Vibishan, Arjun, Uddhav, etc.
  • In order to ensure that the donations made by disciples were used appropriately, Lord Shree Swaminarayan adopted the sons of His younger and older brothers, and established them as administrators of the Sampraday’s estate and wealth. To ensure that they could be shown the correct uses of that wealth, He established His choicest and most capable sant, Sadguru Shree Gopalanand Swamibapa, as their spiritual guide, and commanded everyone in the Sampraday to remain under his command.
  • In this manner, Lord Shree Swaminarayan has again demonstrated the utmost importance of following a spiritual lineage that has been established by each successor determining the heir who has best qualities (naad-vansh), as oppose to a lineage of sons (bindu-vansh). In the 11th verse of the Shiksapatri, the Lord has commanded, “The greatest reward for the virtues of scholars is devotion unto the Lord and the Satsang. Without these, even a scholar has to wander in the cycle of birth and death.” Here the Satsang refers to the Lord’s supreme naad-vansh lineage. The defining characteristic of someone who is within such a lineage, is that he would look after the wealth of the Lord and use it only for the benefit of society. Jeevanpran Swamibapa is truly the personification of such qualities.
  • On this occasion let us pray to Jeevanpran Swamibapa: Oh Swamibapa! May we forever remain entirely Yours. Give us the enlightenment to ignore our societal status or standing so that we may perform devotion to You with the utmost humility, and remain in this way under the shelter of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi.
