Samvat 2063 Bhadarva Vad 8, Wednesday 3rd October 2007

Day 3 Main

The third day of Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Shatabdi began with Acharya Swamishree performing mangla aarti to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa.

At shangar aarti Acharya Swamishree presented Lord Swaminarayan and Ghanshyam Maharaj with  the booklet ‘Swaminarayan Bhagwan Sarvopari’ and CD compilation ‘Bhakti Kirtanawali M10’, which were to be released later in the morning.

Acharya Swamishree and sants arrived at Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Smarak Bhavan Tower and were saluted by H. H. Swamibapa Pipe Band, Nairobi. Acharya Swamishree was seated on a peacock chariot crafted by the sants of Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa. The Band then led the Swagat Yatra to Maninagar Mandir and performed a Guard of Honour for Acharya Swamishree.

Today saw the conclusion of the recital of Shree Hari Gyanamrut scripture, (the kirtans composed by Jeevanpran Swamibapa following instructions from Sadguru Ishwarcharandasji Swamibapa) and the benefactors offered gifts to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa and Acharya Swamishree.

Chief Guest

The Guest of Honour for today was Mr Kaushik Upadhya, the Chief  Metropolitan Magistrate. On behalf of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, Acharya Swamishree presented the Chief Justice with a prasanta paagh and garland. Other dignitaries included Mr. H K Shah (Chief  Metropolitan Magistrate), Mr. Vinayakbhai Pandya (Building Contractor), Shree Tyag Vallabhdasji Swami from the Rajkot Shiksha Sankool, Mr. Nalinbhai and Mr. Madhusudan Priyadarsi.

In the presence of the honoured guests the booklet; ‘Swaminarayan Bhagwan Sarvopari’ and the CD compilation ‘Bhakti Kirtanawali M10 ’were released.

Addressing the sabha Swami Tyag Vallabhdasji paid tribute the Akshardham like Sabha he had arrived to. “On my arrival Acharaya Swamishree was giving his blessings to the sabha and to me it felt as if Jeevanpran Swamibapa was giving the blessings Himself. In the past Sadguru Gopalanand Swamibapa changed the orbits of planets so as to protect his disciples, and today Acharaya Swamishree is capable of the same.”

Acharya Swamishree presented Shree Tyag Vallabhdasji Swami with a full volume set of the English translation of Shree Rahasyartha Pradipika Tika sahit Vachnamrut for the library at the Gurukul.

Acharya Swamishree's Divine Ashirwad

  • We are celebrating the centenary of the fourth spiritual heir to Lord Shree Swaminarayan’s throne - Gurudev Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa. People from all over the world have prayed to keep them a part of these celebrations. God will surely stay with those those disciples who have made this prayer with humility and sincerity.
  • Yesterday, we honoured those that yielded excellent results in the Sanskar Dipika exams. In this age of television, video games etc. this is the means by which to ensure that religious understanding is instilled into our children. The Lord is extremely pleased with those who have sat these exams as well with those who have helped students prepare for them.
  • Yesterday evening, we enjoyed the performances of devotional dances. Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa is immensely pleased with those that took part in yesterday’s events in any capacity. Devotional dances are an enjoyable way of assimilating religious knowledge – it is essential that religion and spirituality may be gained through such a variety of means.
  • The Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Gaurav Gatha scripture has been published today, and its recital also begins today. Anyone who reads this scripture will be able to understand the glory of the Satsang and the greatness of Lord Shree Swaminarayan’s spiritual lineage (guru-parampara); all doubts will be alleviated. No-matter what his previous sins were, the Lord will bestow salvation on anyone who reads this scripture; such is its immense greatness.
  • A shopkeeper may pass on his shop to his son as his inheritance. However, a knowledgeable person cannot pass on his scholastic prowess. This is because scholarliness is an intangible quality. A person must endeavour to establish such qualities within himself and therefore, some are able to do so while others are not. Therefore, in a lineage of sons (bindu-vansh), there is no guarantee that each successor will have superlative qualities. In fact, it is inevitable that through a lineage of sons, there will eventually be one that is desirous or lustful. That is the flaw in having a spiritual lineage through sons.
  • This is precisely why Lord Shree Swaminarayan’s lineage has been established by each successor determining the heir who has best qualities to take forward his ideals (naad-vansh). That is why our Satsang has remained so pure. Wherever you look in the world, bindu-vansh lineages never last, whereas naad-vansh lineages flourish. When it seems that the Satsang is diminishing, God Himself manifests with such a naad-vansh lineage to reinvigorate His disciples.
  • God Himself has stated in the 48th Vachanamrut of the Gadhada Middle Section, that although He had no specific reason to manifest, He contrived a reason in order to manifest amongst His beloved sants. In precisely the same way, God manifested again in the form of Jeevanpran Swamibapa, to reside amongst His beloved sants.
  • Today, a Universal Grand Procession of Peace and Unity will parade through the City of Ahmedabad; whoever will have the darshan of God during this procession, will attain His divine abode - Akshardham.
  • Let us pray to the supreme Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa on this occasion: Oh Lord! May we adhere to your divine spiritual lineage, and may we remain devoted to them. Give us the strength, conviction and wisdom to enjoin our souls to Shree Swaminarayan Gadi.
