Day 2 - Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Shatabdi Mahotsav - Evening
Samvat 2063 Bhadarva Vad 7, Tuesday 2nd October 2007
Day 2 Main
Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa was a pioneer and instigated new and interesting ways of teaching the fundamentals of the religion. One was through the use of drama and dance productions. Today Acharya Swamishree continues to inspire disciples in the same manner.
The evening’s programme started with a prathna performed by sants of Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa dancing to the kirtan “Preme naman chhe hai vrush nandan.”
A drama production titled 'Bhakt ni Vahre Bhagwan' was then performed by the disciples of Bavla. The play narrates the story of an ardent devotee who has two sons; one a follower of Lord Swaminarayan and the other in the midst of bad company. The father has knowledge of textiles and with the encouragement of sants aids a friend whose textiles factory has hit hard times. With the Lord’s blessings the factory recovers and begins making profits. Unfortunately the sudden riches lure the father into poor morals and he forgets his duties, and like his immoral son also finds himself in trouble. However the merciful Lord Swaminarayan graces the father and son and rescues both from their predicaments. Both go on to lead moral lives and become ardent devotees.
