Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band London Leads Remembrance Day Parade - Edgware

The year 2016 marks the centenary of the outbreak of the first World War and special events have been held throughout the year to mark this important occasion. Remembrance Day 2016 was therefore a very poignant day when the sacrifice of all those who fought in the First World War and subsequent conflicts around the world was remembered.

The national Remembrance Day ceremony is held in London at the Cenotaph on Whitehall, Central London, while regional events are also held all around the country. On Sunday 13 November 2016, Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band led the Remembrance Day Parade in Edgware, North West London. The parade started from the Edgware Royal British Legion centre and made its way through the main streets of Edgware to the War Memorial situated in the town centre. After a multi-faith Remembrance Sunday Prayer Ceremony, the hundreds that had gathered impeccably observed two minutes of silence at exactly 11.00 am.

On behalf of His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree Maharaj, members of Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band laid a poppy wreath at the memorial, and prayed for the spiritual peace of the lives lost to war and conflict.
