A new heritage walk was commenced in Ahmedabad on 10 October 2023. The Sardar Smruti Heritage Walk chronicles the life of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, famed as the Iron Man of India. Acharya Swamiji Maharaj was the guest of honour at this inaugural walk.

The 1 kilometre walk starts at Sardar Patel Bhavan in Lal Darwaja and ends at the Tilak Baug. This is the area of Sardar Patel’s home from early 1913. Historian Rizwan Kadri, professor at Shree Swaminarayan Arts College, has researched extensively about the life and work of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and was able to identify and explain historical places along this dedicated heritage walk.
