Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Smruti Mandir – 32nd Patotsav

Friday 13 October 2023 marked the 32nd anniversary of when His Divine Holiness Ved Ratna Acharya Swamishree Maharaj inaugurated Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Smruti Mandir, the magnificent monument of unsurpassed love unto Gurudev Jeevanpran Swamibapa. Renowned as the World Peace Centre, this was the sacred ground where in 1979, the sacred cremation ceremony was performed for Gurudev Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa and in July 2020, for Vishwa-vatsalya-mahodadhi Acharya Swamishree Maharaj.

During the early hours of Friday morning, Gnan-mahodadhi Acharya Swamiji Maharaj reached Smruti Mandir and performed the auspicious patotsav ceremony to the divine Murtis of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa, and also Ved Ratna Acharya Swamishree Maharaj presiding at the entrance of the magnificent Mandir. Thaal was offered to the Lord, after which disciples were given the opportunity of performing aarti. Acharya Swamiji Maharaj blessed the gathering of sants and disciples, during which He retold about how the Smruti Mandir was inspired by Ved Ratna Acharya Swamishree Maharaj, and the demonstration of unsurpassed Guru-bhakti, of Ved Ratna Acharya Swamishree Maharaj towards Gurudev Swamibapa, which this magnificent Smurti Mandir immortalises.

Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa – 116th Pragatya Jayanti

Gurudev Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa’s 116th manifestation day was celebrated at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Maninagar, in the divine presence of Acharya Swamiji Maharaj on Saturday 14 October 2023. After performing the Shangar Aarti of the Lord in the main Mandir, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj travelled to the Tower Mandir, from where a grand procession was held, led by Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band, India. Disciples carried various gifts to present at the lotus feet of Jeevanpran Swamibapa. The procession proceeded to the grounds of the Mandir, where the main assembly had been held. One by one, the disciples came to the front of the stage with their offerings and presented them with Acharya Swamiji Maharaj to our Gurudev. Acharya Swamiji Maharaj adorned Jeevanpran Swamibapa with a grand, golden garland and moogat, before cutting the celebration cake.

Jeevanpran Swamibapa’s tula ceremony was then performed, during which He was ceremonially weighed against fresh flowers, coconuts, supari and sugar candy. This reminded disciples of the grand festivals held in 1957, 1967 and 1977, when Jeevanpran Swamibapa’s golden, platinum and diamond jubilees were held.
