Additional vows are taken during the four months of the Chaturmas. Of these four months, Shravan is considered to be extremely auspicious. Therefore, during this Shravan month, special assemblies are held in Mandirs of the Karan Satsang. Scholarly sants hold recitals of the Sanskrit scripture written by Gurudev Swamibapa, called Shree Swaminarayan Bapa Charitramrut Sagar.

Sant Shiromani Shree Vignanprakashdasji Swami narrated the discourses, during which many of Lord Shree Swaminarayan’s childhood divine deeds were described. The final day of the recitals was also observed as Shree Sadguru Din, during which Acharya Swamiji Maharaj blessed the congregation.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
