Directly from Kheda, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj and sants travelled several hours to the state of Rajasthan, which is situated North of Gujarat. Rajasthan covers 342,239 square kilometres or 10.4 per cent of India's total geographical area, and is the largest Indian state by area, and the seventh largest by population.
During His 4 day stay in Rajasthan, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj visited Sameri, Chavand, Bandoli, Vayra, Lauva, Ashpur, Poira, Kajivada, Bada Chaplasa and Kheda Samor. In all these places, the villagers ceremonially welcomed Shree Harikrishna Maharaj and Acharya Swamiji Maharaj and public assemblies were held in the centre of the villages.
Charitable donations were made to the poor of each village. In Chavand, a village 40 km from the city of Udaipur, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj visited and paid homage at the samadhi memorial of Maharana Pratap. This village was the region’s capital during Maharana Pratap's reign. This is also the place where he died on 19th January 1597. Acharya Swamiji Maharaj was formally taken to the memorial in the form of a procession, led by Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band India. Prayers were held at the memorial, for peace and unity within India and around the world.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
