Ghanshyam Maharaj 79th Patotsav, Maninagar - Day 4 Morning - Ashirwad

Tuesday 21 February 2023, was observed as the Shree Sadguru Din commemorations. This day, Fagun Sud 2, has a special significance in the history of our supreme Karan Satsang. On this auspicious day, in 1972, Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa emerged from His 61 day continuous meditation, during which, Lord Shree Swaminarayan Himself commanded Swamibapa to give a physical embodiment to His supreme, eternal, salvation-granting throne, Shree Swaminarayan Gadi. Seven years later, in 1979, Jeevanpran Swamibapa appointed our beloved Ved Ratna Acharya Swamishree Maharaj to be His heir and successor, and sovereign Acharya of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi, and entrusted Acharya Swamishree Maharaj with the divine key of absolute, eternal salvation. This historical event took place exactly 44 years ago. Falgun Sud 2 is also the special day when in 2021, the Chadar Arpan ceremony was performed by eminent Sants, Mahants and Scholars to Gnan Mahodadhi Acharya Swamiji Maharaj.

The subsequent day, Wednesday 22 February 2023, was Falgun Sud 3, when the Karan Satsang celebrated the 79th patotsav of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj presiding in Maninagardham. Gnan Mahodadhi Acharya Swamiji Maharaj performed the ceremonial bathing of the Lord to mark the anniversary. Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj and Shree Harikrishna Maharaj gave darshan without their robes, and were bathed with the five nectars, saffron, yogurt, sugar, honey and ghee. A lavish array of foods was then presented to the Lord. Disciples took this opportunity to perform Aarti, and Acharya Swamiji Maharaj blessed the congregation present in the assembly, and to those watching live on-line.

Purna Purushottam Shree Swaminarayan Bhagwan

As a facet of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Suvarna Mahotsav (golden jubilee) celebrated in September 2022, a cinematic biography about Purna Purushottam Lord Shree Swaminarayan was produced. This film was based around the episodes contained in the sacred scripture, Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Granth. The devotional songs contained in the film have been collated into an album. With the divine blessings of Gnan Mahodadhi Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriya Swamiji Maharaj, these devotional songs were written by Sadguru Shree Sarveshwardasji Swami and the music direction was given by Shri Kirtibhai Varsani.
