Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kadi 104th Patotsav 3 February 2023

Friday 3 February 2023 marked 104 years since Jeevanpran Shree Abji Bapashree ceremonially installed the Murti of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj in Kadi Mandir.

The village of Kadi is in the Mehsana district of Gujarat. Kadi Mandir has a special significance in the history of the Karan Satsang; the original Mandir was established by Sadguru Shree Nirgundasji Swamibapa and He installed the gold and silver embossed Murti of Shree Sahajanand Swami Maharaj in 1892 AD. Subsequently, the divine Murti of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj - Lord Swaminarayan, was ceremonially installed by Jeevanpran Shree Abji Bapashree in 1919 AD.

Acharya Swamiji Maharaj travelled from Maninagar and reached Kadi during the morning of Thursday 2 February 2023. During the evening, scripture recitals of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Granth and Shree Abji Bapashree ni Vato were performed on behalf of disciples in the region of Kadi, and also the disciples living in the USA and Canada.

During the morning of the patotsav day, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj performed the Mangla Aarti, after which Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj gave darshan without His robes. Acharya Swamiji Maharaj then performed the patotsav ceremony of Lord Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj, Jeevanpran Shree Abji Bapashree and Jeevanpran Swamibapa. During this auspicious ceremony, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj bathed Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj with the five nectars, milk, saffron, honey, yogurt and sugar. After the ceremony, a lavish array of foods was offered to the Lord in the form of a splendid Annakut. Sants and disciples were then given the opportunity to perform Aarti before the Lord.

During Acharya Swamiji Maharaj's divine blessings, He spoke about the significance of the Kadi temple and described the glory of the merciful Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa.
