The first of a series of evening events at Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Smruti Mandir took place today with an evening of Bhakti Raas. Hundreds of disciples, along with Sants, danced throughout the evening to please the Lord, in an electric atmosphere full of energy and devotional love.
A huge soundstage has been built for the series of evening events, and tonight an orchestra ensemble filled the stage with some thirty performers, including Bapa’s Sants. Acharya Swamiji Maharaj arrived at 8pm and presided on a regal red and golden throne, sheltered by stunning canope lined with fresh pink flowers, all atop a rotating pedestal so that the everyone could have His unhindered darshan.
Four Murtis - Lord Shree Swaminarayan, Jeevanpran Abji Bapashree, Jeevanpran Swamibapa and Ved Ratna Acharya Swamishree Maharaj - surrounded Bapa’s aasan, around whom disciples danced enthusiastically.
Sants and renowned singers boomed out kirtan after kirtan, as the pace of the tempo picked up towards an incredible crescendo of drums, music and singing. Nearing the end of the raas, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj took to the stage to encourage everyone to dance their hearts out!
The captivating atmosphere here tonight was indescribable. A celebration of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Suvarna Mahotsav in the most blissful location, with the magnificent backdrop of the World Peace Centre lit up.
