Acharya Swamiji Maharaj Pays Respects to Departed Jagadguru Swami Saraswatiji Maharaj - 12/9/2022

On Sunday 12 September 2022, highly respected, eminent leader of Shri Dwarka Sharda Peeth and Sri Badrinath Sri Jyotirmath Peeth, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Swaroopananda Saraswatiji Maharaj has departed from this mortal world.

The most revered Swami Swaroopananda Saraswatiji Maharaj served as the Shankaracharya of these two Peeths of India for many years. Due to his noble work for the progression of the Santan Dharma, Satsang and Sewa, he has created a spiritual and ideological legacy, which will remain for the future. He was wise and learned. Additionally, he held a unique place in the hearts of people from all ages, and from all statures of society, all who became desirous to follow his guidance and work for the betterment of society.

On hearing about this news, Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj said, “The departure of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Swarupananda Saraswatiji Maharaj, the Jagadguru of Sri Dwarka-Sri Sharda Peeth and Sri Badrinath-Sri Jyotirmath Peeth, will be an irreparable loss to society and the world.”

A special service of prayers was held in Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Maninagar in the presence of Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj, Sants and disciples, in honour of Jagadguru Swami Saraswatiji Maharaj. May his soul attain eternal divine bliss; and may the entire Hindu society attain the spiritual strength and resilience to overcome the grief and sorrow that they are currently facing.
