On Sunday 17 July 2022, a procession was held from Maninagardham to Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Smruti Mandir. Young disciples and Sants chanted the sacred Swaminarayan Mahamantra as they walked the 4 kilometres to the Smruti Mandir. Gurudev Swamibapa presided upon a chariot, and gave darshan to all the onlookers.
This procession was held as a facet of the forthcoming golden jubilee of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi, Through the procession, the general public were made aware of the highly beneficial charitable work that has been performed by Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, under the leadership of Gurudev Swamibapa and Ved Ratna Acharya Swamishree Maharaj over the past 50 years.
On arrival at the Smruti Mandir, everyone performed pradakshinas of the entire Mandir. Adoration to Gurudev Swamibapa was also performed to end this special day. From the USA, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj blessed all the disciples who had taken part in the procession.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
