During the patotsav celebrations in 2019, Ved Ratna Acharya Swamishree Maharaj announced that two years later, the Suvarna Pratishtha Mahotsav of Bavla Mandir would be held, marking 50 years since Gurudev Swamibapa first installed the divine Murtis of the Lord in this town. His enthusiasm for this celebration encouraged the devoted disciples of Bavla and the surrounding regions to prepare for this magnificent festival.

Bavla is a town, and a municipality, in the Ahmedabad district of Gujarat. The region is renowned for its rice mills and cotton processing industry. Bavla is also known as a business city and home to several pharmaceutical companies. Bapashree and Sadguru Shree Ishwar Bapa travelled to this region on many occasions, and consequently the faith of disciples is strong and resolute. Disciples living in the region had to travel frequently to Bavla for their official administrative work. Slowly, the disciples started to migrate into this town. Accepting the prayers of them all, Gurudev Swamibapa first established a Mandir in Bavla on Samvat 2027 Fagan Vad 13 (Thursday 25 March 1971). As more and more disciples came to live in Bavla, it became apparent that a larger Mandir was required. This blessing was bestowed by Ved Ratna Acharya Swamishree Maharaj in 1993, when a grand, Shikhar Band Mandir was established in a large plot in the outskirts of Bavla, on a main artery highway.

Although the fiftieth anniversary of the first Bavla Mandir was in 2021, it was not possible to hold the celebration due to the world pandemic. Therefore, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj instructed the Sants and disciples of Bavla to postpone the celebrations, so that it could be held with the kind of festivities that Ved Ratna Acharya Swamishree Maharaj had inspired.

A four day celebration was held, starting from Sunday 27 March 2022, when Acharya Swamiji Maharaj arrived in Bavla, and was ceremonially welcomed to the newly renovated Mandir. Over the next 3 days, scripture recitals, concerts of devotional dances, dramas and songs were held. A grand procession was also held through Bavla during the afternoon of Tuesday 29 March. On the patotsav day, Wednesday 30 March 2022, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj performed the patotsav ceremony of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa presiding in Bavla Mandir. A grand Annakut was presented before the Lord, and disciples seized this auspicious occasion to please the Lord by performing Aartis.

Throughout the 4 days of this festival, leading dignitaries of Bavla came for the darshan of Acharya Swamiji Maharaj and gained His divine blessings.
