Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan Celebrates ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’

On Sunday 15 August 2021, India celebrated the completion of 74 years since Independence and the start of its 75th year. In celebration of this historical occasion, Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan organised a magnificent online patriotic festival. This event was part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav' launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modiji.

Inspired by Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji, and with the divine blessings of Gurudev Adya Acharya Pravar Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa and Sanatan Dharma Sanrakshak Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, this event was a demonstration of the patriotism of disciples living in India and around the world towards the Motherland, India.

Over 2500 disciples of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, ranging from 7 to 95 years of age, performed patriotic dances, played musical instruments, sang, portrayed themselves dressed as historical Indian figures or created traditional Indian rangolis and art. These Sants and disciples were located either in the complex of Maninagardham, or dialled in via video media to perform their patriotic events.

A new world record for this kind of online event was declared, and a gold medal and shield was presented to Acharya Swamiji Maharaj.

The event was been conceptualised by Shri Mahesh Pandya of Kaustubh Events, Shri Prakshep Mistry and Shri Santosh Mane, and facilitated by the Sants of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan.
