Fuldolotsav Celebration at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Maninagar - 2021

The Fuldolotsav festival, sometimes referred to as the Festival of Flowers, was celebrated on Sunday 28 March 2021. This year, the day of Falgun Sud Poonam and Falgun Vad Ekam fell on this same day. Therefore, Sunday 28 March 2021 was also the diksha Jayanti of Ved Ratna Acharya Swamishree Maharaj. Exactly 59 years ago, Gurudev Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa initiated Him into the Sant fraternity and gave Him the name, Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swami.

Due to the current safety restrictions, the Fuldolotsav celebrations were restricted to utsav in the main Mandir.

The traditional prasad for this day is known as fagwaa; popcorn, roasted chickpeas, dates and sultanas. Therefore, the Sants had created a splendid display in the main shrine of the Lord with all these offerings, and Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj was giving darshan whilst presiding on a swing. 

Acharya Swamishree Maharaj offered the fagwaa to the Lord and sprinkled coloured powder over Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj; this sanctified colour was then sprinkled over the Sants.
