During the morning of Tuesday 26 January 2021, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj presided over a grand celebration in the grounds of Maninagar Mandir. Acharya Swamiji Maharaj hoisted the Indian flag as the Rashtriya Geet was sung. There were also speeches from key speakers about the significance of this day, and the advances that the Nation has made during the past 72 years.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
