Ten years have passed since that auspicious day. To mark this occasion, the disciples of the village celebrated Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Gavada Dashabdi Mahotsav.
With the divine blessings of Adya Acharya Pravar Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa, His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree Maharaj installed a Tri-Murti of Lord Shree Swaminarayan, Jeevanpran Shree Abji Bapashree and Jeevanpran Swamibapa at the home of a disciple in Gavada, Northern Gujarat in 1980. The villagers gathered at the home routinely to perform prayers and hold assemblies. As the numbers of people increased, a purpose built Mandir was built with the blessings and inspiration of Acharya Swamishree Maharaj, and opened in 2009.
Ten years have passed since that auspicious day. To mark this occasion, the disciples of the village celebrated Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Gavada Dashabdi Mahotsav. This two day festival took place on 1st and 2nd November 2019. Disciples from Gavada and surrounding villages, many now living in the USA, attended this 2 day festival.
During the evening of Friday 1 November, a performance of devotional music was held in the Mandir forecourt. On Saturday 2 November 2019, Acharya Swamishree performed the patotsav ceremony of Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa presiding in the Mandir.
Promptly after the celebrations had concluded, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj travelled to Kutch.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
