Gurupoonam

SSSSM Nairobi celebrated Gurupoonam on Ashadh Sud 15, Friday the 31st July 2015. Gurupoonam is observed annually to express reverence towards our Guru. The full moon day in the month of Ashadh (July-August) is observed as the auspicious day of Gurupoonam. The meaning of Gu- is the darkness and Ru- is the antidote to the darkness. Therefore, Guru is the one who takes us away from the darkness to the light sides of our lifes. Our Gurudev Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa did not only tour from one place to another but he showed us the right path of life.

The celebrations commenced by Gurudev Jeevanpran Swamibapa's divine blessings. Followed by sandhya arti and niyams. Thereafter poojan was performed to Gurudev Swamibapa, followed by a samuh aarti HDH Acharya Swamishree then showered His divine blessings. Prasad was served to all the devotees that gathered for this auspicious occasion.
