Gopalanand Swami Diksha Jayanti 15th November 2014
Saturday, 15th November 2014 marked the 207th Diksha Jayanti (Initiation as a sant) of Khushal Bhatt, named as Gopalanand Swami upon initiation. To honor this auspicious day, devotees at Shree Swaminarayan Siddhant Sajivan Mandal Nairobi gathered to enrich their knowledge on the divine episodes of Yogivarya Sadguru Shree Gopalanand Swami.
The ceremony commenced by Acharya Swamishree adorning Gopalbapa with a garland and flower petals, lighting diyas and performing aarti. Thereafter, numerous youthful devotees narrated various episodes of Sadguru Shree Gopalanand Swami to please Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa.
Closely after, as talented devotees melodiously sang the kirtan "Aa toh Swaminarayangadire…Kalyan kare rokadiyu", students of Swamibapa Education Centre executed a small play portrayed in the kirtan..
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
