Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury Grand Opening Festival was a spectacular celebration of endings and beginnings. 2014 marks the end of a fifty year journey inspired by Gurudev Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa; in 1964, He inspired the first of our community to come to London, establish roots and spread the Faith. The year also marks the end of Acharya Swamishree’s tireless mission to realise His beloved Gurudev’s vision - to build a magnificent ‘sikhar-bandh’ Mandir in London under the realm of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi.
August 2014 marked the beginning of a new chapter for the disciples of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi residing in London, as the doors to the new Mandir are finally opened, and Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa resides in this magnificently befitting monument. Under the inspiration of Acharya Swamishree Maharaj, a wonderful Grand Opening Festival of music, dance, colour and spirituality was held over six days. The community at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury were honoured to welcome our brothers and sisters from around the world for this once in a lifetime occasion; a global event taking place in the world’s most iconic city. We hope you were able to join our celebrations.
