Shikshapatri Jayanti
Shikshapatri Jayanti, Vasant Panchmi, was celebrated along with Shree Sadguru Din on Sunday, January 17th, 2010. The celebration started off with a prayer to Lord Shree Swaminarayan in the form of kirtans. The disciples, led by prayers from the Poojari, then performed the Shikshapatri poojan and recital. Young disciples then spoke about the importance of the Shikshapatri and how it impacts their daily lives.

Dhanurmaas/Utraayan Celebration
The month of Dharnurmaas is also called Shoonyamaas (“shoonya” meaning “nothing”) because during this month it is considered inauspicious to arrange marriages or other such functions.

New Year Shibir - 2010
New Year's Day was a fun-filled day for the members of Shree Swaminarayan Temple New Jersey. The temple held its annual New Year's shibir on January 1st, 2010.
